Calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is also called molten calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer. It is a kind of thermal phosphate fertilizer. It is composed of a mixture of phosphorus pentoxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and silicon dioxide, and is glassy. The industrial product is grayish white, brown or grayish green fine particles or powders, the particle size can pass through an 80-mesh sieve, and the moisture content is less than 1%. The industrial preparation method is to melt phosphate ore and magnesium-calcium-containing ores such as olivine, serpentine, dolomite, etc. at 1300-1450℃, quench the melt with cold water, and then grind it into fine powder.
Calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is a weak alkaline fertilizer, insoluble in water, slightly alkaline, and contains 16-20% effective phosphorus pentoxide. It can dissolve 95% in a 2% citric acid solution, so it is easily dissolved and absorbed by the root secretion of crops. It does not absorb water, does not agglomerate, is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and is very convenient to package, transport and apply. The silicon, calcium, magnesium and other elements contained in it are all necessary for the growth of crops, and it also contains a small amount of trace elements such as zinc and molybdenum required by plants, which is beneficial to the growth of crops. Calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer is generally green or grayish white or brownish yellow glassy powder or fine powder. It is odorless, non-hygroscopic and non-caking, and it is a non-corrosive fertilizer.
